Note:
- All 150 questions in each paper are multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options.
- Candidates must select only one correct answer.
Important Instructions
- According to NCTE guidelines, the questions in Paper-I will be based on the prescribed syllabus for Classes I to V, but their difficulty level, as well as linkages, may extend up to the secondary stage.
- The questions in Paper-II will be based on the prescribed syllabus for Classes VI to VIII, with a difficulty level and linkages that could reach the senior secondary or higher secondary (+2) stage.
- The guidelines set by the competent authority do not endorse any specific text or author for the OTET Examination.
- The OTET-2012 syllabus, developed by the TE & SCERT, Odisha in line with NCTE guidelines, will be applicable for OTET-2024. The detailed syllabus is available on the official website www.bseodisha.ac.in under the “OTET Syllabus” section.
- The OTET-2024 answer key will be uploaded on the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha website after the examination. Candidates may raise objections regarding the questions or answers within a specified period through the online mode. No objections will be accepted after the due date, and the final evaluation will be based on the final scoring key.
Qualifying Marks
- Candidates who score 60% or more in the TET examination will be considered as having passed TET.
- For candidates belonging to SC, ST, SEBC, or Physically Handicapped categories, a score of 50% or more will be considered as passing.
- The weightage of OTET scores in the recruitment process will be decided by the Government from time to time.
